Shortest ride on the GAP
On July 15, 2017, Norma and I did a ridiculously short bike ride (with kids) on the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP).

Southern Baltimore County
On May 21, 2017, Norma and I did a little exploring via bicycle.

After driving through the Lawyers Hill area, we started in the Avalon/Glen Artney/Orange Grove area of Patapsco Valley State Park. On tdhe Howard County side, we parked under the Thomas Viaduct then biked into the park. Doing this, we were able to avoid the entrance fee. According to Wikipedia - Thomas Viaduct, at its completion, the Thomas Viaduct was the largest bridge in the United States. It was completed in 1835. See first photo.

We stopped in the park at Lost Lake where we saw several turtles (second photo) and numerous cicada moults (third photo).

After biking through the park, we made our way into Relay, Halethorpe, and then Arbutus where we looked at some nice, older homes. We spent some time at the Arbutus Arts Festival where Norma supported some of the local craft people. See fourth photo. I used to live in this town. So did David Byrne of the Talking Heads.

We finished the day with dinner at Norma's favorite Vietnamese restaurant, An Loi.

New Jersey weekend
During April 14-17, 2017, Norma and I explored the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park Trail and Delaware Canal Towpath (Delaware and Lehigh). These two rail trails in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, respectively, pass very close to each other, thereby enabling the bicyclist to do a multi-day biking trip in these two great states.
